Maybe it has been said, but if it hasn't, I would check the voltage at the starter signal wire -
at the starter. To do so you will need to have someone to try to start the car while you check
the voltage at the starter solenoid (watch you fingers for moving parts if it does start). If you
see voltage your starter may be toast, but you need to check the main battery wires going to it,
plus some of the battery grounds in various parts of the car, but we will get to that if the first
test fails. If you don't see battery voltage at the solenoid when you do the first test you need
to then check your starter relay, I think you can do that with some jumper wires, then you can
check your key switch. My key switch did the same thing a few months back - it was a brand new
unit that the previous owner had installed - but it was a cheap reproduction - junk. Just start
from the top and work your way down, you should be fine.
