[V8] PS pump interchange-ablity

I can't think of a better resource for these pumps than Rick at
www.importpartsspec.com.
Before he started Import Parts Specialists, he was a pump rebuilder
supplying the after market. He knows all there is to know about
these, and can (could?) easily and cheaply rebuild them. The problem
is that he quit rebuilding them a long time ago, and may have run out
of replacement bearings which were hard to source. Seals are still
easy to get. WIthout replacing the bearings, the front seal will not
last long, and this is the reason so many people have trouble with
their pumps after only replacing the seals. There is contact
information on the web page, and he can tell you if he can rebuild
yours or not and can probably also get you a reman unit from a
different supplier in any case.

It would be well worth your time to investigate this resource before
attempting to hack in a different pump.
