[V8] Picking up my new to me 92 V8 this weekend UPDATE

I thought your wife wanted that car, Ron. It's no real biggie to replace the fuel tank. If a dullard like me can do it (200q20v several years ago), you should be able to do it easily.

Ok so a little update on what I'll be doing to the
car.
While I was going through the car a bit I found
somethings I wanted to tighty up a bit. There was a
small coolant leak comming from the rad to rez hose.
So while messing with it the top nipple on the rad
fell off 8-0! So I had to pull the rad out cause I
couldn't get the plastic threads from the nipple out
through that little hole,
so I pulled the rad to get a better look. I was able
to get the piece out & replace the nipple with one of
the spairs I had. Bolted everything back up, filled
with coolant & all was fine.
So next was to check why there was a puddle under
were the mid muffler was (mid muffler delete). I
crawled under there & peeled back the heatshield to
find my hand soaked...in what I found to be GAS. So I
looked up there & found the gas tank was rusted @ the
seam & had sprung a leak :-( So,
any plans to keep this car have been forgotten. Which
is fine with me cause I really would rather the motor
for my 5sp instead of keeping it...or selling it.

So,
I'll be going through the car with a fine tooth comb
to make sure everything is working as it
should....then I'll be parting it out. I'm obviousley
keeping the motor.
The car runs a 3.6 ECU & wireing harness, along with
a 3.6 TCU & trans wireing harness. Those things were
swapped in order to run the ABT chip that Scott P
sells. So the wireing harness's will be sold.
There are a lot of new parts on this car that I don't
need. All so something of note.....the driveshaft is
brand new. That will be sold as well cause the Auto VS
5sp DS's are different. & I'll prolly be running a
Single Piece drive shaft in any event.
But more to come on whats good on the car...& whats
not good.

Thanx
Ron
