I retorqued the right cylinder head of my 92 V8 4.2 today. A bit too early
to tell if it made any differense, but I noticed a funny thing. As you
people reading the mailing list may know, the head gaskets were changed
about one month ago, and the car has moved little since. New cylinder head
bolts were of course used.
When retorqueing the heads (I did it only to the right, where the leak is),
I noticed that the two front bolts seemed less torqued than the other
eight... But I can assure you that they were torqued down to specs.
Sounds strange...????
