[V8] T-belt

It needs to be changed in any V8 at 60,000 miles. Oh, I know that the 4.2
motor's interval was revised to 75,000 and the 3.6 motor was revised from
90K down to 60,000 miles after Audi bought a bunch of 3.6 motors.

So, to keep it simple, after first one 3.6 and then a 4.2, and now a 3.6,
I'll opt for a timing belt inspection and probably change at 60,000 miles.
The timing belt in my "new" 1990 V8 is original. The car has 62,000 miles
and the timing belt is being changed as we speak. The timing belt was
actually in pretty good shape when the covers were pulled off, although the
belt was pretty flexible and ready to be renewed.

And there is another reason to take the front end of the engine apart at
60,000 miles. By that time, you will undoubtedly find something else that
has worn to the point of no return, and mostly likely something is leaking
in there that you want to change right now.

In my case it is the oil pump drive gasket which was leaking and according
to the wrench, letting "quite a bit of oil in there". In my case, that
appears to be all that is leaking, but as a general statement, if it can
leak, it will leak and around 60K is a great time to find and stop the leak
before you look like a clapped out small block Chevy with smoke pouring out
from under the hood at stoplights.
