[V8] Loose radio wire

... looks to me that wire is Brown/Grey, would you agree? If so, and if the
radio is the same as the pre-92 cars ... and I'm pretty sure it is ... that
wire is for the alarm. That tab that you report on the back of the radio is
actually for the alarm ... if someone disconnects that wire when the alarm
is armed it should set the alarm off. So ... the Brown/grey wire would
normally have a spade terminal attached and that would slide on the tab on
the back of the radio. I don't know if your alarm is working or not, but
I'd suspect the latter ... and if that is true the wire does nothing ...

Hey, was putting the console back together in the 93 pearl car(Deal)
after putting in the program switch(tranny mode thing)....thanks
Ron....Hooking up the stereo I noticed someone had done some
rewiring....Its a Gamma and someone wrote '91 200, and thankfully the
security code on it. Red connector had been completely cut off as
all the wires have been recrimped,Brown has had some wires
reattached, then the black has just one, and this loose Brown/Blue
coming out of harness to nowhere(see photo).....Wondering if anyone
knows what the Brown/blue wire is?....It's smaller than most of
them....I also noticed that there's what I'll assume is a ground tab
on back of stereo, and nothing attached to it.....Didn't want to
assume Brown/blue is ground and touch it without
checking....Thanks...Tom
