[V8] [SPAM][4.2] Re: Who's had a bad had gasket?

My head gasket developed a coolant leak - not to the combustion
chamber or oil jacket, just seeped down the side of the block. I am
pretty sure it was because I unknowingly used the Zerex version of
dexcool for several years. It seems that every GM car on the road
with this stuff develops coolant leaks on gaskets. I didn't know
about this then. I switched to the Zerex specified for my car (G-05)
and so far so good. I don't go with the Audi juice just because if I
have a problem out on the road, I can always find the Zerex stuff.

I used the same Zerex in my explorer(s) and Audi 100 with no problems
but who knows if they developed problems after I sold them.

The green is fine for iron motors but as pointed out, it is hard on
aluminum and causes long term degradation.
