But, here's the difference, Roger. And, for some of us, it's a deal breaker. 
An S6 (C5, of course) has an automatic. Your Proposed A6S has an automatic. 
The ONLY reason mine was bought (automatic) is it's the wife's car. And, 
there is a former lister that I'm close with, who has driven several S6 
Avants. He said, and I agree 100% "At the end of the day, I can't see 
driving an automatic every day, no matter how good it is".

And, that car is allowed to be imported, it's on the "allowed" list. I'd 
have to do some searching for the info, but I have it. This came up a year 
ago when a very good friend of mine was dead set on bringing an OEM RS2 into 
the states. That one, is absolutely a no-go!
