Hi Roger -
Thanks for the link to the passive home site.
I had meant to include for you on my last post a
link to some information on an associates site.
There is a resource section and they organize
tours of area LEED buildings/Passive homes.

One of the ways I have seen the passive home envelope
managed, is to have an out-building that houses all the 
mechanicals and battery storage .. A granite crop as a 
site could make it a hardship though.
