.... that single wire *is* the OXS wire ... the two pin connector is for the
heater. If the wire is broken on the wiring loom side of the connection be
careful as the "wire" is actually a coaxial cable, and excessive heat can
cause the internal insulator to melt and the connection to the ECU to short
out. If it is the wire going to the OXS there's no worry as it is just a
wire.

BTW, you don't *need* an LED to read out the codes ... regular incandescent
light bulbs will work just fine and you don't need to worry about polarity
or current limiting resistors. I have a "grain of wheat" bulb I removed
from a car at a PnP which I use to read out codes.

Good luck, it sounds like you are making some progress!

Finally had some time to work on the car last night. I was able to try
some of the things you guys suggested.
First I started the car, which started right away. I let it warm up for
15 minutes and turned it off. It wouldn't start, which is what I was hoping
for.
I first tried disconnecting the sensor on the rear of the pass. side
head and restarting with the throttle wide open. This didn't work so I
reconnected it and the car still wouldn't start. It did start with starter
fluid.
Next I disconnected the oxs plug (2 wire plug)and the car still wouldn't
start. When I reconnected the oxs I saw the single wire plug was loose and
in fact broken. I think this wire also goes to the oxs also? The car still
would not start.
I then played with the 2 plugs that go to the crank and speed sensors
and saw that the one closest to the front of the car might not have been
seated correctley.I plugged it out and back in and the car started . I let
it run for 20 mins. and it still started, so maybe I found the trouble.
I left the car apart as I still must fix the single plug wire somehow.
Anyone know that this wire is for, and where it goes?
I also tried to test my spare crank and speed sensors, by I 'm not sure
of the 3 wires at the plug, which ones to test.
I also tried to read the codes which I never had to do with this car,
but I had read them many times on my other V8. I quickly remembered that the
other car was a Cali.car and now I have to get a led to read them.
     Thanks again,George
