[V8] [s-cars] NAC - Benz 300E Questions]

I can't reply to the S-Car list as I do not subscribe, but I can weigh in on
this subject. The chassis in question is the venerable W124, of which I
owned 3 (I now own the successor, the W210 in E430 trim).

Obviously, keep it oiled. That car is very easy to work on. I highly
recommend the '95, as it was the last of that chassis, and there will be
gobs of parts. You'll find the typical little issues (the electric gizzies,
fan motors, sometimes the speakers, etc.), but I'll think you'll find it a
venerable and well-built auto.

If you find one that you can track the maintenance on, buy it. This car will
run forever if it is properly maintained. One other thing, if you can find
an 400E or E400, buy it. That 4l v8 is as solid as they come, and you'll
never do a timing belt on one. It has a chain. :-)
