[V8] when 280hp and 295ft/lbs just aren't enough...

W/O going into great detail... cause I have discussed this countless #'s of times......

The only difference between the two is that the 3.6 Intake is smooth & coated on the inside, while the 4.2's isn't & has a very rough inner surface. If I was air I would rather a smooth non restricive chamber to flow through than one that looked like a cave with stalagtights hangging from it.

& the only reason I swapped out the 4.2/later 5spd headers is cause of the bellows on the d-side header.
I wrapped my headers in header wrap & it was easier to do so on the smooth 3.6 headers.

As far as the ECU's/wiring harness go...... The 3.6 ecu is maped more agressivley while the 4.2's is govered so to speak.
The 4.2 cars get a signal from the TPS... so if you use the 4.2 stuff on the 3.6 cars it will not get the signal @ WOT & you will be low on power. Not able to get up in the RPM.. feel down rite doggish.
The 3.6 stuff doesn't do any of this.

But I have discussed this many times on list... I'm sure I had more time to get into greater detail on previousley posted questions like yours... so do a search.

& I don't like the Pie plates (AKA Pimp plates) on the Green car.
