[V8] clarification.......V8 Avant

To answer both questions, Audi put a V8 in the C4 chassis, so fitting it in 
there is not a problem.

The bellhousing's are the same for all Audi engines but the 4-cylinders. 
However, just about every trans since 92 has both patterns, and the 90's 
swapped to dual patterns in 88.

I don't' think the difference in size between the V6 and V8 will pose
problems because there is quite a lot of room between the front of the V6
and the radiator fans as the engine sits now.

That is exactly what I was thinking also. I think it sounds like a great
project, and a perfect daily driver. As was mentioned, you can simply go out

and buy a 20V Turbo, but a V8 in there would be very unique, and very
practical for a dd, espeically with the autobox.
