[V8] fuel pump sender locking ring removal?

Good point on the grounding and disconnecting the battery. However, where's 
the fun in no smoking ;-) I like to use a lighter to see how much gas is in 
there :P

Remember to ground the car body to the floor (with  a chain maybe?) -
you don't want any pretty blue sparks whilst you are trapped in the
gas tank.
At minimum, be sure you touch some metal after you get in the trunk
to bring your body and the car body to the same potential.
An incandescent trouble light is also probably not the best choice
for this job either.

I will not soon forget the time I had my arm deep in the gas tank
when I heard the gas fired water heater kick on.  That was fun...
