No, I guess I've never done that. The decoder ring is in the service manual
.... I'll look it up and post the page number. Back when, I talked to Steve
and Mike about talking to the instrument cluster, not sure why, but they
said it would not be possible ... the IC only operates in the blink mode.
Baud rate ... I just let ProDiag figure it out ...

You can use the log function on the M-blocks to save data in a file you can
read into a spreadsheet to log just about any length drive ... I've found
that to be pretty cool ...

Has anyone (Steve?) ever done a write up on the Palm software for our cars?

I am curious specifically about the best baud rate to talk to the ECU, TCU,
and Instrument Cluster. I used the default baud rate to talk to the ECU
(9600 baud) and get often disconnected performing the output test.

Also, is it possible to use '07 Code' or '08 M. Blocks'? I can use the '08
M. Blocks' on the (4.2) climate control computer, and it is pretty slick.
Allows you to see real time values and trend them in a graph.

Where in the shop manual does it list the secret decoder ring for the '09
Individual Values', and what are the ideal values to compare the data to?

What is the purpose of '04 Basic Settings'?

I was able to talk to the ECU (but get disconnected at times), the TCU, the
climate control (on my 4.2), and Air Bag controller, but can't talk to the
Instrument Cluster. I can blink out the instrument cluster and perform the
output test as per Scott Mockry's instructions.

Thanks for your input,

- Jeremy
