[V8] $500 for a V8

I've thought about unloading the V8's, but the market is weak in general,
from what I've been able to tell. Go trolling Craigslist looking, and you'll
quickly find there's tons of folks trying to unload their cars that are
older, less fuel efficient, or just the "extra" car. I'm always on the
lookout for something oddball (not that I have the cash at the moment), and
right now is an awesome time to pick up obscure/project/"gas guzzler" cars
and trucks on the cheap. I've got a couple of Citroen's and Lotuses (Loti?)
I'm eyeballing....

Of course, you get those folks who are just now running into trouble,
haven't paid attention to the market, and say "Well, the KBB value on my old
Audi V8 is over $4k, so I'll just ask $3500, and it'll be easy as pie to
unload." And as it turns out, it's not that easy.

So, I hang on to the V8's because their value to me is more than the value
to the market. Same reason I've kept the house I grew up in in rural west
Texas....thing's damn near worthless on paper, but it's paid for, and I like
it.

And yep, I'd absolutely pick up another V8 in a heartbeat....
