[V8] Close brush with disaster! Crisis averted!

Well, you see, it's about this '91 20Valve Avant that was hanging around
some dealer's yard out in Colorado.  I looked at the ad on line which
eventually was fleshed out with pictures, and found myself intrigued.

No, I do NOT need another Audi, and indeed, I might have a serious
insurrection on my hands were another car to appear in this yard at this
point in time.  But the car WAS silver and despite having a grey interior it
was intriguing.  I resisted looking at the Carfax report until I got more
pictures, but when I looked closer, it thought it might be worth looking and
looking more:  pretty good miles.

The car was a European delivery car and that might have explained the
absence of a roof rack.  Pretty clean as far as I could tell.  UFO's which
was laying the basis for a low offer, since the car had been for sale for
more than 120 days.....

And yesterday, the Sweetcheeks in the office with whom I had been talking
called to say the car had gone under contract that morning, and she would
not be sending me the engine pics that I had requested.

Phew!  Crisis averted!
