[V8] Clicking + no start?

If you had to charge it I'm assuming it went dead at some point. They can't
always recover from going dead. You could also double check your battery
connections and make sure they're tight and there is no corrosion.
I'd be surprised if the issue you describe isn't related to the battery,
though. I've had the same thing as you described happen to me a number of
times, in several different cars. It's always been a dead battery.
