So Got everything together yesterday and called it a night.
This evening after work I figured it'sd be *fun* messing with the slave
cylinder to assist with bleeding the clutch master (isn't that a fun one to
get to -- actually not too bad once you turn the wheels to the right to free
up some room and remove the driver's side exhaust heat shield. The I filled
up the pressure bleeder with a pint and a half of brake fluid and proceeded
to pressurize the system. Lots of bubbles coming out of the clutch feed
line and it dawned on me that the pressurization itself may allow for
bleeding the clutch master without even cracking the slave.
Moved the clutch pedal up and down a couple of times and voila! No more
bubbles. So I released the pressure on the bleeder, removed it, and
proceeded to try out the clutch in earnest. Light as before and she works
like a charm. Drove around the neighborhood a few times to get the get the
surface rust off the brake rotors and gave her a much-needed bath. Sweet. I
know she felt all neglected after almost six months.
