Mobil 1 DTE 13M? I purchased 5 gallons for about $70.00 3 years ago.? I have not seen any difference and I ran it all winter (Richmond, Virginia).? Temperatures don't seem to be a problem here.

If you are low miles, I might guess the pump is not leaking (at least
badly) but the hose crimps are starting to leak. The one place you
can put a hose clamp is the (pump supply) hose at the bottom of the
oil tank. The OEM clamps are not much good after the hose ages for a
few decades. The next most popular leak is probably a hose crimp.
Again, the hoses tend to shrink I guess with age and the crimped
fittings start to fail. In that case, you are probably best off to
remove them all and send to Spokane Hose for rebuild. This is a
pretty cheap option but a lot of work. If you do go this route, many
of us have switched to either Chevron RYKON 32 or another Mobile oil I
can not remember now, in place of the pentosin. You get 5 gallons for
the price of about two pints of Pentosin so you can really flush out
the system - which will help prolong the life of the rack seals.
The only negative would be if you live in an extremely cold climate.
In that case, you could probably use Chevron RYKON 16 instead.
I went the extra step at this point and replaced the rack boot and
added an oil filter in the rack return line to try to preserve the
life of the rack. So far so good - my rack is dry at about 150K miles.
