[V8] Leak Question

what engine is in the car ? 4.2 or 3.6

I've had the problem and others have with the 4.2 head gasket leaking oil. (rear )

First things first is to give the engine a good clean , once dry start up and see if there are any leaks , if none go for a short drive . Make sure to have a good light and a mirror so that you can look for the leak.

leak possibilities

- distributors ( 2x seals )

- Valve covers

- steering rack / hoses

- Head gaskets

- crankcase ventilation hose

- oil being blown back from some other part of the engine
