[V8] What Car Next?

Always a good question.
With tire technology - i think AWD is a waste of both weight and energy.
Sorry Audi. This winter will the massive snow we had i was snowed in maybe
2-3 days. Run 4 snows in winter and switch to performance tires for the
rest. Safer and efficient.
So that opens up the RWD choices. Lots of fun too with RWD.
Was at the Jag/Rover dealer and took a real good look at the RWD XF. There
was a article they posted with the car on a stand regarding snow
performance. basically giving the same opinion i have about AWD they were
touting snow mode on the XF as the answer to AWD.
Currently driving a Lexus GS, twin turbo 3.0 six, tien suspension, chipped
etc. handles amazing. more interior space and quicker than the V8. the all
aluminum Jag XJ 2004+ looks really nice, never driven one.
i like the idea of a turbo 2.5 to 3.0 l six in a sedan. BMW has that i
believe. i am going to try to avoid V8's in the future. too much motor.

Subject: [V8] What Car Next
Sorry for the Roger style ramble but I'm in need of some "serious car
guy wisdom" and where better to go than you maniac V8 guys. My V8 that
has been my loyal everyday vehicle for the last 8.5 years was hit in a
parking lot. The quarter panel and tail light assembly took the hit. The
car still runs fine and I still have bulbs back there. The interesting
bit is the other drivers insurance is giving me $3300.00 to total it and
I keep the car. I won't put the money in it to fix it properly so
someone will get a nice running V8 when I sell it. My question to all
you maniac listers is what car next. You may think I'm crazy but I want
something from this decade, preferably with all wheel drive but at least
front wheel drive. I was thinking about an A6 with the 2.7 L and turbo
but they don't seem very reliable. Does anybody know what year Acura
fixed their transmission problems? I need some interior room at 6'2" 235
the V8 was about as small as I can go. I'll miss the V8 and if I had
access to a really fine specimen I'd consider it but there aren't any
around here that I'm aware of. I know most if you folks are pretty
serious car guys so I'm interested in your thoughts. Thanks, William
