[V8] Did those brake pads look like these?

Believe it or not, the pads on my pearl were even worse.  The pads on the
driver side had long since been spit out and the piston had an angle worn
into it.

Still worse was the rotor I saw at the exhaust shop today.  The owner had
worn the outside surface away completely so just the vent fins were left.
Apparently she swore it was making no noise.
