[V8] Solid motor mounts...

Has anyone built solid motor or tranny mounts to replace our hyrdraulic
ones?  Since at least one of mine appears to require replacement I was
thinking of having some solid ones fabricated.  Unless anyone has heard of
an aftermarket source for them or can give me any reason why solid mounts
would be a bad idea (besides just making the fact that it will allow
passengers to feel more engine vibration).
