[V8] Phaeton anyone?

That car is currently on my short list of replacements for my V8. 
I will add that an A8 is at the bottom- though it seems like a natural  
progression from the V8. 
I will not buy another slushbox Audi after spending close to 5K on my V8's  
transmission rebuild. Ever. 
The step deprecation curve of the Phaeton is very appealing to someone who  
can do his own service, even with the slushbox - though I wish it had the 
rear  timing chain BKK 4.2 rather than the front timing belt equipped 4.2, 
because the  job there is 20X more difficult than a Type 44.
