[V8] Where can the Power steering pump leak?

The hoses are a possibility as well. The pump is at the low point of the
system and the lines have a sheath which guides fluid down to the pump. My
cars both are running the original pumps ... on one car I've had to replace
the lines to the rack and even had the return line to the reservoir leak.
Given you indicated that the pumps was done, I'd suspect that you tweaked a
hose at that time and now the hose is leaking enough to notice.

I am losing Pentosin badly and it's wet below the hydraulic pump and
all over the compressor. (At least I think it's pentosin as the level
is way down)
The accessory belt has become filthy oily and now I have a squealing
sound from one of the pulleys.

Can the pump leak from the pump shaft end seal?

About a year ago, I rebuilt the pump and put those little O rings in
all those cross marked caps.
I don't remember doing the shaft seal because I think I would have
needed a suitable puller which I don't have.

Is the end seal a likely culprit, because I don't see it gushing out
anywhere else?
The accessory bely acts like a spreader and throws the leaking fluid
all around the front of the engine.

As the pump is $450, I'm not rushing off to replace it.
