In my experience, the two MAJOR factors regarding purchase of this avant are:

Rust: If it's got a bad case of body rot underneath and/or the fuel, brake, A/C lines. Costs become prohibitive -- believe me, I know. 

Rodent Issue: They can really make a mess of things.

But of course, it's your decision. Only you can decide how you want to spend your $$$
