Well, according to the owner's husband the car is running, and running well.
I just didn't want to connect the battery and turn the key. I am very, very
easy for running Audi five cylinder engines, and since I am not a serious
buyer at this point, and for this car in particular, I didn't want to test
the theory, or tempt fate, and put the battery in line. The rear seat
cushion was up, and the battery exposed, so it wasn't as though there was a
lot to do to hear it run.
My late, departed and severely missed Black Mariah was a car that simply had
had too many Maine winters with indifferent maintenance. The car that is
the subject of this current thread had none of the apparent issues that the
Black Mariah had when I bought her. It does have OTHER potential issues,
though, and I reiterate: it might be an excellent donor or parts car.

Oh, and remind me not to let you take me to dinner...I cost more than $50
bucks in wine alone....(lol)

I would offer to haul it away.
Nobody in their right mind is going to buy a non-running high mileage
used car with a rodent infestation and a repair bill higher than the
cost of a running hyondasan.
They will come to this realization sooner or later and will need to
dispose of it.
For free, it would be a fun project car.
For $50 bucks, I would have to think hard about it. That would be a
nice dinner out.
just my 02
