I wouldn't be aware of this sort of failure, but it sounds like there may
have been a connectivity issue with your mail. I've seen duplicate messages
in the past when there have been e-mail issues with Yahoo ... 

If the behavior continues, or if others are seeing similar duplications let
me know off list.
