Geeze, if you're going that route (2 seaters), I'd say the M-B 380/560 SL of the 
mid-80s.  Classic styling, famous (old) Mercedes design and build qualities, 
long lived. What's not to like?

And as a former Fiat X1/9 owner, that car made my MGB seem like an ox cart. But 
no, it's not a "10 best".
