Any list of cool old cars has to include the worlds FIRST quattro -  
the Jeepster Commando.

I had one of the removable hard tops, but the one in the picture is a  
convertible (with power operated top) and also came with power  
steering, GM Turbo400 automatic transmission, A/C, and a continental  
spare tire on the back bumper.  The engine was the 225cu "Dauntless  
V6" by Buick.  They are harder to find than a V8 5-speed, and worth  
much much more.

Sure was a fun vehicle.
