[V8] 93 Toronado Red V8 from E-Bay

Does it move in reverse? If it doesn't move either forward or reverse, it may very well be the center differential. If it was towed with the rear wheels on the ground, it will have been ruined. BTDT. We replaced the center diff with the trans still on the car, and all was well. Well, at least till the timing belt went a couple of miles later.......DOH!!

Has a couple of dents that can be taken care of later but this car is way to nice to part out. Not a bad V8 at all, seems to have been well taken care of. Battery was dead of course. Charged it and started. Guess what, throttle rod stuck. Got that taken care of and it runs awesome. OK, now the whole point of the car being so cheap, the tranny. When you put it in gear it just whines, does'nt engage at all. I can hear it spinning but thats it. Before I deem the tranny mechanically bad what things should I try first? Appreciate all your guys help  Jeff
