It sounds as though you just have the standard OBD-II interface ... won't
find a plug for one of these in your V8 or 200Q.  There's an adapter you
need to convert to the diagnostic connector system on the older cars ... I
got mine when I bought the ProDiag set up ...

In that first link you will see a picture of the adapter you need ... or you
can identify if you already have it ... do a web search on VAS5051 or
VAS5052 to see where you might get one ...

a little new to me. What type of cables will I need to pull codes on my '90
V8 auto? I'm assuming I'll be able to use the same cables to pull codes on
my '90 200 TQ 5spd as well.
