[V8] Engine Trouble (v6 - but still Audi)

I have a '93 90 with a 2.8L V6 that has a nuked motor. It was driven until
the oil buzzer went off (and in this one the oil temp gauge maxed out). I
just pulled the intake manifold off a couple days ago and found that it had
gotten hot enough in just a few seconds that both of the knock sensor
housings had actually melted when the temp came up that high. I'm guessing
if it was that hot then there's some even worse things going on inside the
motor, but I haven't had a chance to pull the rest of the motor apart yet.

Anyway, it's hardly scientific, but it looks like if the buzzer was going
off, then it's quite possible that the motor could have been hot enough to
do some major damage.
