Similar experience - driving a 924 - I know, a horse for punishment - I had
the sun-roof open but not off, In case you don't know, if you flipped open
the back portion and set it on the tabs to hold it open, there was nothing
but down-force to hold it in. Worked great, until - Crossing one of the
Columbia River bridges on my return trip to Spokane from a Portland
International Raceway race one Sunday evening, no air conditioning, and the
Columbia Gorge can get pretty warm, had my windows open, clipping along at
fair speed, when bam, the wind coming off the river caught the sun roof and
flipped it up - and laid it ever so gently on the hood of the car. I was
able to stop and return it to its right full place with out any further
problems. Still drove the car with it open after that, just made sure I was
not crossing any bridges!
