[V8] Clutch pedal goes to the floor

Was the clutch pedal on the floor when you got in the car? If so, the
piston will not be in a position to allow free fluid flow from a broken hose
to the slave or a leak in the slave itself ...

... the clutch M/C is inside the passenger compartment, can't see a leak
there ending up on the ground. The clutch M/C fluid supply is hooked to one
of the two separate reservoirs above the brake M/C ... if it weren't so late
I'd go outside and look to see, but I'm pretty sure it is the front one.
The clutch fluid line goes directly from the Brake M/C to the Clutch M/C ...
if you were messing around at the clutch M/C you might pull the line off the
fitting at the fluid reservoir ... which would drain on the ground near the
driver's side front wheel.

Otherwise you might have a leak in the hose from the driver's side front
brake caliper, but it would be an amazing coincidence to have both the brake
line and clutch fail at the same time ...

Check near the master cylinder...... I forget what is attached to it, slave
cylinder?
The only way to know is to get in there and look around a bit.

Subject: [V8] Clutch pedal goes to the floor

So I went to move my car out of storage and the clutch pedal remained
depressed (on the floor).
I tried to pump up the pedal, though to no result.
I found the brake resvoir low on fluid, so I filled it up.
Once again I tried to pump up the pedal and nothing.
I checked the clutch master for leaks and none were found.
Next I tried to bleed the slave and still nothing.
Clutch pedal seemed a little better as I was pumping it by hand.
As I was about to re fill the resvoir, I saw a pool of fluid under the
car by the drivers side front wheel.
I took off the belly pan and could not locate the source of the leak.
The bell housing seemed dry, and no fluid around the bottom of the
transmission bell housing/lower oil pan.

Any ideas anyone?
