I once had a 1984 Audi coupe 5+5 that I bought from the original owner.
One sunny day while on my way home from work, bam. No clutch.
Pulled over to the side of the road and found the rubber gromit that
held the cable in place on the clutch pedal had crubbled. Yikes.
