Oh, rest assured, I didn't miss this.  My wrench has a very nice VW Synchro
van with a late TDI transplanted into it.  

I am not sure if I would want a TDI or not despite how much I love diesels.
The cost of gasoline here in Maine is much less than diesel, and it is
possible to find really nice Rabbits of all sorts on eBay and elsewhere for
small dollars.  Sometimes I think of getting a Rabbit pickup, too.

In the end I don't NEED another vehicle now, nor likely anytime soon, so if
something else does happen to need to live with us here, it will need to be
something really interesting.  No candidates on the horizon at the moment.
