CT stands for Canadian Tire store / its a big Automotive , house and general items sort of place

I will never be a good writer like Roger , but here goes.

On friday I got my 97 A8 quattro on the road but it had a nasty vibration, so on Monday I took it in to CT to have the wheels balanced. How can they mess that up right. The counter guy asked me all these question about , how do I know that is the problem ? blaa blaa blaa. I finally said well I personally replaced every steering component in the front end ( 10 items ) so I have a good idea what needs to be done. (+ Had an alignment ) The guys says to me "you obviously know more about cars than I do." So I continue , please use only sticky weights none of those weights that clamp onto the outer/inner edge of the rim. ( causes dissimilar metal corrosion and makes the rim look like shi% ) I told him the last time I was here to get the job done on my 93 Audi V8 (new rims) they used three sticky weights and one clamp on weight ... boy I was mad. I caught it a few weeks later when inspecting something else. Did go back to CT and asked them what the fuc8 are you tiring to pull here, maybe 90% of customers wouldn't pick up on this , but I did. So A8 goes in to shop , get phone call it's ready for pick up. I live right by a CT so I just dropped the car off before dinner and picked it up after dinner , very convenient. Pay for the bill 50.00 not bad , I look at the bottom to see what sort of comment they have written on my bill. CT always tries to scare you into something that you don't need ..right. On the bottom of the bill there is a comment , oh you will love this. "Back brakes are Rotten" what the fuc* is that ! I'm not going to trust a guy who balances my rim/tires to give me some global observation about my brakes. These guys at CT want you to come back right, why not say something intelligent like your brake pads are ready to be replaced, or your rotors are not within safety limits or the brake lines have cracks in them . Hmm wonder what would look "rusty" sorry "rotten" on an all aluminums body ,frame and suspension components ... ah maybe the iron ore rotors and caliper ha ha . This is all just a rant anyhow. I've ordered new rotors and pads for the car as I know this was on my list of to do. 23 dollars a rotor and 40 dollars for the pads ..not bad eh.

well that is my rant of the day . oh yes it drives like a dream now, but I smell something rotting .
