Check to c if there is power to the rear windows. If not check the wiring in the door jambs. All so check the windows by switching a working window switch for a suspect one.
But ur thinking is spot on Nick.

Subject: [V8] Window operation troubleshooting
Hey cats.
Still a V8 owner, and still have problems! How lovely.
I got a few more things done on the car, to the point that the windows are
the next big project, which is fantastic. So glad to be out of the engine
bay and out from under the car for a change.
So, the two rear windows don't work from any switch. Neither passenger or
drivers side works back there, and I can't operate them from the drivers
door either. The front passenger side window also doesn't work right, but
sometimes it does. I can always operate it from the drivers door, and you
have to sort of try and try again with the switch on the passenger door, and
it will eventually "catch" and come down all the way for you. It doesn't
seem to be pressure related, its just sometimes it works, sometimes it
doesn't... Any thoughts?
I'm thinking the front pass. switch is bad, and the rear windows have a
wiring issue perhaps, or the motors/regulators are dead? Any way to test
for these problems I may not be aware of?
~Thanks,
Nick
