Swanson did that (Aluminum) top hose for his 4.2 CQ. There are pictures in his project thread on motorgeek.
I'll all so probably b taking pictures of it this weekend at //sfest.

I don't know that I'd be trying to glue that one at all. You might put
something in the inside of the hose that can help you temporary, but I'd be
replacing that. On that note, I had also thought of builking one out of
alluminum pipe/welding and just have the ends rubber hose splices. I bet you
could build one for about $150 or maybe less if you have good friends that
can weld alluminum. then, just the ends would need replacement, and it would
be incredibly cheap compared to the factory one.
I had also thought about doing this with copper, but I'm not sure about
mixing dissimilar metals like that, not sure if that would promote
corrosion, since the coolant is a pretty good conductor.
