[V8] Good deal or run like hell?

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".....However, if  
the title is in the appropriate person's name...sounds cheap.  Not to  
offend any MB enthusiasts out there, but I helped sell a 96(?) 300 E  
that a friend's son bought, that was easily the worst vehicle I've  
ever touched.....Serious electrical gremlins.....and the suspension  
alone was going to cost a mint in parts....let alone that ENTIRE  
wiring harness that many had said it needed....They lost $2000 by  
owning it for 1 year...and all of the dash quit the week it got  
listed....I hated that car.  My Saab mechanic friend recently got a  
"totaled" AMG CLK 63, that he made "not totalled", and even though I  
didn't get a ride in the car, looked like something I could learn to  
like....So I'm not totally anti-MB....Many friend's have the older  
D's and love them, and I recently got dirty under a friend's 82  
240D.  I once bought a full set of Scuba gear from a woman who was  
going thru a divorce for $100(unused $2000 worth of stuff).....She  
actually wanted to sell it cheap...You never know.....Good luck
