[V8] V8 Transmission Fluid

I use Mobil 1 synthetic ATF in all of mine.  I just drain the pan and add 4
quarts from time to time.  I do this more frequently in the beginning if the
drained fluid seems dark and dirty and/or doesn't smell very healthy.  Not
sure about pumping through the dipstick tube, have never tried it.

What is an excellent brand of transmission fluid for a '93 V8 given that I
am not sure what (synthetic or regular) is in the case presently?  Also, is
it possible to pump out the fluid through the dipstick rather than drain
from the pan?
