My family situation is quickly changing, and need to sell this car before it
sits again all winter like last year.
The car is a 91 black on tan (forget the official name) with sport seats.
Since purchase in fall 08 I've had the timing belt and gas tank
professionally replaced. The belt as I had no idea when the last time it
was changed was (cluster says about 160k....likely a bit higher than what it
says...but the closest off the top of my head) and the tank because of a
rust hole causing slow leak issues above ~1/3 tank). I personally installed
new control arms/ball joints, new from suspension w/G60 brakes over the
frozen UFOs and fixed faulty brake hard lines and new stainless brake lines.
The car does not have functioning ABS or Airbag. Neither do I care about so
I've not looked into either issue.
The car has been flawless for me, I've driven it to H2Ointernational two
years in a row without issue. Were I not dealing with the personal issues I
am....and I having zero need for 4 cars I would keep this car.
Things I would fix were I keeping the car:
--the speakers, they are likely blown. I have a bunch of OE speakers that
could be used and also have aftermarket speakers/amp that I was considering
installing
--there is a slight smell of gas around the car after some drives, as there
is no leak I think it maybe related to a vent tube issue after the tank was
replaced
--the bomb needs replaced, have at least 2 that can be used for cores
--the cluch master is mis-adjusted such that the pedal does not return to
the height that one might expect due to clevis attachment distance to the
pedal arm. I have verified that this is not causing any
engagement/disengagement issues as the master does travel as expected.
I have a huge number of extras that can go with the car, or will be tossed
shortly after the car is sold.
