[V8] Brake Lights come on when you're not looking

About a month ago I looked out at the parked V8 in the driveway and
saw the brake lights on. Weird!
I checked the cat wasn't snoozing on the pedal, flicked the pedal a
few times and off went the lights.

My daughter takes the car to college and calls a week later with a
flat battery.
Sure enough, once its jump started the brake lights are on again.

I buy a new switch, and 15 minutes later I demonstrate how competent a
father I am by having the lights all functioning perfectly again.
Case closed.

2 weeks later she calls again and she's seeing red, (or she would have
been if the battery hadn't been flat!)
I crawl underneath and realize that the switch doesn't seem to be
locked in position. The switch shaft has a thread but nothing seems
to lock it in place. Over time it looks like the pedal can knock the
switch back and eventually the switch will click on again.

Can anyone salvage my reputation? I wrapped some duct tape around
the thread but it doesn't hold. Am I missing a nut? (or a screw
perhaps! :)

Mark
