[V8] IAT shorted

I reported a "running out of gas" problem with the pearl V8 (AKA #2) a few
weeks back. Finally got to getting the PDA running ProDiag back up and
authorized . immediately got a "IAT shorted to +12V" code. It looks like
the plastic sheath for the wire is cooked . pulled the sensor, the thing
shorted right at the base of the strain relief grommet. It looks like when
the thing shorts enough current flows to cook the insulation. It looks like
there's a piece of heat shrink tubing filled with RTV intended to immobilize
the wire connections, but the heat shrink is so tight at the tail that it
forces the +12 and sensor wires together.

I haven't had a chance to check this on #344, but I thought I'd post here so
folks would know to check. If you roll back the grommet and slide it back
on the wiring loom you should be able to see the clear heat shrink. I'd
recommend carefully cutting the heat shrink near the tail to allow the black
wire to remain separate from the white/blue sensor wire. Then you can slide
the grommet back over the sensor .

I doubt this will remedy the starting problem, but it should get the mixture
back into shape so I can get that smog check .
