Hmmm... 4k sounds reasonable. The 1st year was a couple/three thousand and
it really dropped off after that.
Only 77 in 94? Wow. That makes mine the 2nd most rare (by number anyway)
in my "collection", with the first being the 85 urq.
I lucked into both of them too. A mechanic in a town I previously lived in
contacted me about the urq, which had been sort of abandoned at a muffler
shop in South Carolina. He tracked down the owner and worked out the deal
and even got it running for me. It's still a project but one I can drive
around in and represent.
I had quit looking for V8s altogether when I found the 94. Just happened to
check an old saved cars.com com search one day and bingo, a _silver_ 94 v8?
60 miles away no less. I looked for TWO years for a silver 4.2 V8 and never
could find one, aside from a raggedy 92 in Omaha several years ago.
Supposedly they quit doing silver at some point and the original owner of my
94 ordered it special from the factory in silver for a couple grand more
money. If it only had black interior... But I'm not complaining.
I'd say 4000 V8's is pretty close.

It claims that there are less than 4,000 ORIGINAL V8's sent to and sold in
the US market? I really knew it was somewhat rare, but I figured more
around 8-10 thousand. That's crazy. Not to mention only 77 in 1994? That
makes finding one of those darn near impossible, considering a number of
them are probably retired/parted.
Just, really curious information to learn. I see no reason why this car
will one day become a real rarity, and possibly an interesting collectors
find. Especially since the herd is considerably thinned due to maint.
costs. _______________________________________________
