Cool, I've been meaning to check out the site ... very nice Roger.

I did have a couple nits to pick on the content.

One thing that seems odd to me is that everyone remembers 60 Minutes'
participation in the Audi Unintended Acceleration brouhaha, but no one seems
to mention the fact that Consumer Reports participated as well. For me,
CR's trespass was the more egregious of the two. I was not at all surprised
to see 60 Minutes engage in a bit of augmentation for sensationalism. I had
been a religious CR subscriber to that point; it is only in the last year
that I started using CR again.

The second point is that there were findings that the idle stabilizer system
in the Audis wore over time to raise the idle speed to over 1000 RPM. This
was deemed to be a minor contributor to the ensuing driver error and Audi
had a recall for the ISV on these cars.

An interesting note is that Audi benefitted in one way from the UA debacle;
Audi devised a shift interlock mechanism which they sold to several other
manufacturers.

In doing my research to refresh my memory I came across what I found to be a
useful and informative site on UA ... here's a link:

First issue: My Toyota Rant. I've been saving up for this ever since 60
Minutes assaulted Audi.....
