Not quite sure what to make of this statement. Would you expect him to
say "hey - it's a toyota and toyotas never go bad - so drive it
regardless of the known safety problem"?
And you find some political undertone in this?
Is glenn beck going to break the story tomorrow that this is really a
secret plot by Obama's marxist/socialist/liberal/progressive/
communist/ (did I get them all?) secret forces to "slaughter us" (a
quote from Mr. diarrhea mouth himself, glen beck) ?

Personally, I am glad to see toyota brought down to earth. They have
put out their share of crap, just like any other manufacturer.
I lost count of how many people I knew that had to replace a V6 in
their forerunners and trucks back in the '90s. Even the mighty Lexus
had to deal with crappy V6's back then.
The odd part is each one of them still swears that toyotas are the best.
Remember back in the Audi UA days, there was one car at that time that
had actual unintended acceleration problems - and it was a Lexus? The
"arrogant?" engineers at toyota chose to not put in a vacuum cut out
safety switch for the cruise control - probably because toyota parts
never break or wear out, and sure enough, there were cases of UA. Real
cases. Whoda thunk.
It is long past time for us to see the wizard behind the curtain at
toyota.

Times are tough at USA inc. I wish us well.
