The decrease was over 80% and from an 80,000 unit level.  That didn't 
leave much room left to keep going on in the US.  Now I really see why 
~$50,000 1991 200s 20Vs are so few and far between!

I think I already mentioned it, but yea, Audi's sales numbers after the 86
"60 Minutes" scandals fell by half, and took a decade to reach the numbers
they were in 87, about the time they started falling.
